The Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center (CIADC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide continuing education, working access, and community for 3D object makers working with materials and processes requiring specialized skill sets, industrial workspace and capital intensive shop equipment. We offer the general public opportunities to take classes and/or use our facilities.
CIADC is located in a 10,500SF industrial building in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. We have dedicated off-street parking, and are easily accessible via car, bike, or mass-transit. Inside the building are 4 Studio Departments: Casting & Molding, Fabricated Metalworking & Forging, Integrated Technology & Design, and Woodworking.
Our programming is designed to appeal to artists, DIYers, hobbyists, enthusiasts, craftspeople, makers, and innovators of all skill levels and interests. The CIADC offers opportunities to Teens ages 12 - 17, and adults, all while providing a safe, creative, and fun group work environment.
