Printmaking Instructor Position at The Art Center Highland Park (TAC)

The Art Center – Highland Park is seeking an experienced Printmaking Instructor to teach classes and/or workshops for beginners through advanced students in various forms of printmaking: block printing (woodcut and linoleum), non-toxic etching, monotype, cyanotype, collagraph and silk-screening. Our pristine printmaking studio is equipped with a Tackach Press. Classes and workshops are to be held during our Fall session: September 11-December 2, 2018.

The Art Center – Highland Park is a not-for-profit visual arts organization. Since 1960, The Art Center Highland Park (TAC) provides a visual arts education to north suburban Highland Park and its surrounding communities, assuring access to the arts for all ages and cultural interests. Offering more than 400 art classes annually in photography, drawing, oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, pastel, mixed media painting, ceramics, jewelry making, metalsmithing, digital arts, fiber art, mosaics, assemblage and more. TAC also brings national and regional art of established and emerging artists to our galleries through 20 exhibits of contemporary art each year to the surrounding community and Chicagoland area.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: 

Teaching experience required with mastery of  two of more of the following Printmaking techniques: block printing (woodcut and linoleum), non-toxic etching, monotype, cyanotype, collagraph and silk-screening. BFA or BA in Fine Arts required. MFA preferred.
