Group Sales Associate

The Group Sales Associate reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Audience Development Manager. This position is responsible for generating group sales opportunities by aggressively seeking new business as well as maintaining productive, long-term relationships with clients and patrons.

Skills & Qualifications: 

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Audience Development Manager to drive group sales in tandem with audience development efforts.

  • Oversee all transactions/relationships with groups of 10 – 40 people.  

  • Prospect potential new clients, conduct cold calls, attend networking events, to consistently build new relationships.

  • Ensure quick and efficient responses are offered to incoming group sales leads, prepare proposals, conduct timely follow-ups and close sales. Consistently seek referrals for future or new group sales business

  • Maintain current group sales marketing materials and assist to create an effective marketing schedule focused on various group sales segments.

  • Coordinate group event details with the Audience Development Manager and the Audience Services Manager to ensure for a smooth execution.

  • Conduct timely post-event follow-ups with clients to ensure the highest customer service is offered.  

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality related Sales & Events

  • Strength in Sales, Communication & Customer Service is essential

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Creative problem solving skills

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills

  • Advanced word, excel, and Google suite skills

  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

  • Experience working within multicultural and multi-ethnic environments

  • Interest in and knowledge of theatre/performing arts

  • Experience with Spektrix is a plus.

Compensation:

 

This role is part-time (20 hours a week) some early morning, evening and weekend hours may be required. This position includes incentives for achieving institutional goals.
