ArtSeed engages 1,500 youth (ages 3-12) across 18 of Chicago’s public parks through storytelling, music, movement, and nature play rooted in neighborhood stories. Children explore the histories and legacies of Chicago's community based artists and imagine creative solutions to challenges in their own neighborhoods.

This summer’s programming will focus on the life and works of community-based muralist Hector Duarte and Sapphire and Crystals, Chicago’s first Black women’s artist collective. ArtSeed will engage in six weeks of early childhood programming in 18 play across the North, West, and South sides of the city. Programming runs June 25th - August 3rd and will culminate in a city-wide community gathering at the Burnham Wildlife Corridor on August 11th.
