The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to welcome the public to an exhibition of works by Blase Masini. From July 14th to August 5th, the Art Center will be exhibiting his artwork in a solo exhibition.
Blase uses collage and stencils to introduce order to the organic surfaces that cold wax medium affords him. Blase Masini is an artist whose abstract work explores the tension between chaos and order. He received a BS in Fine Arts (printmaking) from Illinois State University in 1982 and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 1988. Blase is the Executive Director of Institutional Research and Assessment at Northeastern Illinois University. He began his work as an Evanston-based abstract artist in 2012. Blase's work has been included in numerous juried exhibitions and is featured in the book Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts, and Conversations.
Blase Masini’s artwork will be exhibited in the second-floor gallery of the Art Center. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, July 15 from 1 - 4 pm, which will be free and open to the public.
